Inclusive Heathenry
Discover our inclusive nonprofit organization
Are you a Norse Pagan living in the tri-state area? Are you looking for other like-minded Heathens/Asatruar to share frith and kinship with? Are you looking for a community you can learn with, and grow strong in your troth to the gods, ancestors, folk, kin, and self with? Is your path one of honor, perseverance, and integrity of mind, body, and spirit? Are you ready to get out from behind the keyboard and help us build the true folk in our area in a tangible way that our ancestors would have recognized? Then you have found the right group.
Before I get any further as to what we hope to accomplish here at Eagle Valley, It must be stated that this is an inclusive group. We believe the gods call whom they so please to call, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, or place of birth. We are an inclusive group and will not tolerate bigotry in any form. We believe Heathenry/Asatru is an open religion and all are welcome at our moots (meetups) and our rituals. Hate and ideas of racial supremacy are abhorrent and if your belief system is sympathetic to these philosophies, keep it moving Jack, not at Eagle Valley. We also ask that political beliefs be kept to yourself because as history has shown, spirituality and politics corrupt each other.
Some of our goals are as follows:
- To make Heathenry/Asatru accessible to those who are interested and to provide guidance to those who are new to the troth (beliefs/practices) of the Aesir (gods of the Germanic countries in pre-Christian Europe).
- To have an online community where Heathens/Asatruar can share ideas for building the folk in the greater Cincinnati/Dayton and surrounding areas.
- To participate with our fellow pagans who may not be of the folk in supporting pagan-friendly causes.
- To share our experiences, whether it be things we learn in our studies, unverified personal gnosis in our meditations, experiences we have with the divine, the ancestors, and wights of the land and house, and successes and failures in our workings of trolldom (spells, magick).
- To network and grow in our respective areas and to build kindred for those who would be interested in participating.
- To have both online and in-person study moots to wax strong in the lore of the north, Heathen/Asatru practices, runes, shamanism, the nine worlds of Yggdrasil, wort-cunning (herbal work both medicinal and magickal), and all things of interest to the pre-Christian northern mystic.
- To have frith-moots (fellowship meets) to simply get to know each other and have fun.
All in all, we here at Eagle Valley want to build community, and from that community kindreds so we can worship the Aesir, honor the land, and grow in strength as individuals and as a folk together.
